Welcome

Welcome to Groups!

Groups are a place to grow in your personal relationship with Jesus Christ and to connect with others on a similar journey.  Our group leaders are everyday people who love connecting with others who share their passions.  Groups meet on a semester schedule with new semesters starting in September, January and June of every year.  We are intentional about helping each person in the group to grow closer to the Lord during the semester.  I invite you to come and get connected.

Why do we have groups?

Our church is large, and it is hard to make friends just in the worship service.  We are friendly, but we want people to connect to others in a more personal way, and we want them to grow in their trust and faith in the Lord.  Since we are called to do that in a community instead of alone, we need smaller groups.  We believe that this helps all of us live life better through biblical relationships.

What is a Free Market Group (FMG)?

  • A FMG is nothing more than three or more people who regularly meet and live within agreed upon boundaries that include:
  • One or more of the following – worship, prayer, Bible study and/or testimonies,
  • A leader who, over time, trains an apprentice, and
  • An open door to new participants, unless specified in advance.

How are Free Market Groups different from Core Groups?

Free Market Groups:
  • Operate in sync with one another on a same-semester schedule,
  • Are supported and empowered by a coach,
  • Operate under the Free Market guidelines listed above, and
  • Are encouraged to invite people who are outside the church.

Core Groups:
  • Are directly linked to the essential, year-round core ministries of the church,
  • Are led by staff equippers,
  • Operate under our ministry guidelines, and
  • Are funded by the operating budget.

Groups Catalog

I am excited to see the Lord using our groups to fulfill the mission He has give to us:  to invite friends, grow disciples, and send ambassadors.  If you are not in a group right now, find one from this list, call the leader (please do not register via the Covenant Registration Form), and attend.  If you call one that is full, don’t get discouraged – just call another one.  Lives are literally transformed in small groups!
